You could provide an extra nudge by walking through a step-by-step plan together. The push becomes more effective if you place neatly designed cards in the meeting rooms with the steps outlined and space to fill in results. You might consider the following steps:
- Establishing the problem definition;
- Developing criteria to determine whether a solution is effective;
- Identifying potential causes and selecting the most significant cause;
- Generating possible solutions;
- Applying the criteria to the best solutions to make a choice;
- Agreeing on an implementation plan and communicating it.
In this way, it becomes more challenging to bring a decision back into question.

You can place a large letter 'H' for repetition on the table and slide it over to someone when they start repeating themselves. You can also lay out a set of cards on the table and give everyone 10 cards. The goal is to keep as few cards as possible. If you hear someone repeat themselves, you can give them a card. Only one person may give a card: the one who hears it first.
