Chapter 3.9 of the book discusses the S.C.O.R.E. dance, and in this article, you'll read about additional exercises you can do.
Redefining Parts
Together, identify which aspects of the S.C.O.R.E. dance movement feel the most challenging. Look for smoother variations of those elements, integrate them, and experience how the entire movement improves.
Bigger and Smaller
Gradually make the movement larger, step by step, until it becomes extreme. Then, allow the body to make the movement progressively smaller and experience how differently the movement feels now.
Analogy
Experience from a meta position (stepping back from the S.C.O.R.E. fields) which movement from another realm of experience (sport, hobby, play) resembles the movement of the S.C.O.R.E. dance. What does this reveal about the bottleneck? What healthy movement from this other realm could add something to the initial S.C.O.R.E. dance? What new movement emerges from the synthesis of both movements? Experience how this feels by dancing it several times.
Different Outcome
Imagine that this movement is just an unfortunate beginning of something beautiful or grand. What might the beautiful continuation look like? Fully experience that vision.
Add Pictures and Sound
Consider what music could inspire and support the S.C.O.R.E. dance in a meaningful way. Also, think about what image—such as a photo, poster, or view—could provide an enticing perspective toward the desired outcome. outcome and effect. Incorporate this and experience how the movement transforms.
Frame Size
Lay a timeline on the ground from conception to death. Position it so that it intersects with the fields of the S.C.O.R.E. dance at the level of the current situation. Move backward along the timeline from the present moment and experience what information arises regarding the bottleneck. Also, explore the future by walking further along the timeline. How does the bottleneck change, and what insights does this yield?
Through the eyes of another.
The buddy steps onto the S.C.O.R.E. dance field and mirrors the movement. The main character watches from the sidelines and observes how this looks. Explore by feeling what happens in your body and which adjustments would be beneficial to the movement.
In the Body
You can also turn inward and explore what you feel in your body. Instead of focusing on gestures or movements, concentrate on the sensations within you. Stand on a S.C.O.R.E. field and feel where you specifically sense something in your body while on this field. Do you feel trembling legs, a knot in your stomach, or an open heart? Repeat this on all fields, and then slowly move through the S.C.O.R.E. fields starting from the... Cause. Feel how the sensations move through your body. Do this several times and determine what this is trying to communicate to you.
